The country house "Miramontes"
is situated in the countryside known as
"La Fuentecilla".
It´s only 4 kms away
from Villena (Alicante).
It´s part of the estate of the same name,
an agricultural area where vines, olives
and cereals are cultivated,
overlooked by a very old forest of
mediterranean pines.

It was built in 1899 by the canon
of the cathedral of Toledo,
Mr. Uan Chaumel honoured son
of the town of Villena.
The site was chosen by virtue of its
climatic characteristics,
since the dry atmosphere and the closeness of salt
water, highly mineralized,
provide it with lightly healthy qualities for
rheumatic and bones illnesses.
There was a well of this kind
of water in the same estate
until recently.

Apart from the country house
there is also an old chapel,
another house, a farmyard,
a wine cellar and a stable.
